Five Words Meme

Works like this: Reply to this meme by yelling "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your IJ and explain what they mean to you.

[info]snapesgirl_62 gave me: Ontario, Charlie Weasley, Tea, Thunderstorms, M*A*S*H

  1. Ontario - my current home and native land... though I was born one province to the east.  Home to Niagara Falls, the Stratford Festival, and some great wineries.  Toronto can be fun, Ottawa too.  Been far north - my first job was at a fly-in only reserve north of Sioux Lookout.  Some great camping spots - and canoeing in Algonquin Park is just fantastic.  I hear the fall colour up there is just fantastic right now... here, in the GTA, it's still a mix of green & other colours.
  2. Charlie Weasley - one of my favourite characters to write because we don't know lots about him.  That means, I get to make stuff up about him.  I don't see him as the raunchy/slutty sex fiend that many fandom writers portray him as - to me, he's more of a loner who loves his dragons & is wiling to give up a permanent relationship for his beasts.  I love writing him with tattoos, especially magical, animated tattoos.  Pairing-wise, I like Charlie with Neville or Draco, and absolutely love him with Kingsley.
  3. Tea - while I enjoy my coffee, especially in the morning, I tend to prefer the taste of tea.  Earl Grey is my favourite, black with a bit of sugar.  At work, I keep a tin of green tea with mint for the afternoon, and enjoy herbal 'teas' too.  Tea is easy, especially for camping - coffee at camp is an art I haven't mastered.  (Instant doesn't count.)
  4. Thunderstorms - when I was a little girl (gee, I've always wanted to start a story like that!) my Dad & I would stand out on the front porch and watch the lightning during a thunderstorm.  When my daughter was about a year & a half old, we were staying in a cabin with several friends in Tobermory, ON when a gigantic storm hit us & stayed for what seemed like the whole afternoon.  We all stood on the back porch watching the lightning over Georgian Bay.
  5. M*A*S*H - my first fandom, at least, the first show I could watch over & over and have completely memorized, even now.  I have all of them on DVD.  Didn't know about slash or fanfiction at the time, but have since discovered M*A*S*H slash and enjoy reading Hawkeye/Trapper.  BJ is as straight as can be, in my books.  Love how Margaret's character developed over the course of the series - she grew a lot over the years, and loved her nurses, as surly as she was with them sometimes.

green tea with mint is do die for. I can make coffee over a campfire. It takes patience, and a good graniteware percolator.

I do not have one of those... I have been tempted by the shiny camp-friendly french press carafes at our local camping outlet, but I generally stick with tea at camp.
A friend has one of the camp friendly french press numbers. We sort of left coffee in it long enough to have triple strength expresso.
Words?

Tea is awesome. Green tea with mint? I've never had that combination. I have a weakness for every tea that twinnings makes that they sell at my grocery store lol.
Tetley makes a green tea with mint that I quite like.
