The farther Bill and Neville walked up the trail, the more the pounding surf was reduced to a whisper. They’d chosen to honeymoon in Costa Rica, and Neville had actually wanted to examine the local flora instead of spending the fortnight in their room, which had been Bill’s preference. This was how they’d found themselves hiking a trail that went up into jungle from behind their beachfront cottage rather than more carnal pursuits. Just Bill’s luck, marrying a Herbologist.
Slowly, the sounds changed, becoming louder the higher up they climbed. They rounded a bend in the path, and were treated to the most beautiful waterfall Bill had ever seen.
“Fancy a bathe?” asked Neville, grinning at him.
“You knew this was here, didn’t you?” returned Bill.
Neville just smiled, and started to remove his clothing.
