Angela Snape's Asylum

I'm a couple of days late on this ... but on August 7, 2007 I created this IJ.

I'd only just started a more active participation in HP-fandom (my LJ of the same name was created March 18, 2007), beta-reading for the_con_cept, lesyeuxverts and others, and had written my very first drabble when the strikethrough nonsense had started at LJ.

Since then, I've made lots of friends here. *snuggles flist*

I've also become more confident about my writing, and have inched up from 100-word drabbles and teenyfics to my latest creation which comes in over 3000 words. I know it doesn't compare to those of you who write novel-length fics regularly, but I'm taking baby-steps here.

Looking forward to fall_fantasia, phoenix_flies, bbtp_challenge, snarry_holidays and harry_holidays (which I've actually signed up for. Ack! Another exchange!!)

Here's to another year of IJ awesomeness! And, since I finished my fall_fantasia fic early... I'm offering drabbles to the first three people who prompt me. As usual, HP only, please, and a one-word prompt.

ETA: All drabble spots have been taken. I will post them as they are written - hopefully before the end of the week, when I head off to Virginia for vacation.

OMG ... I was away for the weekend, and now I have a gajillion more friends, again. Well, not quite a gajillion, but I'm definitely way past what I had over at that other journal.

I find it very interesting that since moving here to IJ, my list of "mutual friends" is already longer than it ever got over at LJ - including the addition of some friends I didn't really know over at LJ. So, I just wanted to say "Hi!" and "Welcome!" to darkladyvamp, kookoolaka, randomlysane and magic_helmet, who I just found on my "Friend Of" list.

Now that the fandom migration seems to be firmly established here at IJ (or, at least, the part of fandom I've been hanging out in seems to be here at IJ now!), I expect we should have lots of fun getting to know each other. What you'll generally find here in Angela's Asylum is story recs (mainly Snarry, but I do branch out into other slash pairings, gen, and sometimes even het), occasional meta, and rarely, my own fic. One drabble counts, right?? I may even repost it over here...
